Mise-en-Scene Presentations

Mise-en-scene Presentations
Choose a short extract from a film and analyse how the director has used aspects of mise-en-scene to tell the story, establish themes or hint at what's to come.

Within this presentation I would like you to consider the following;
· Use of lighting
· Use of editing
· Use of music
· Use of props
· Use of costume
· Use of space and off-screen space

I would also like you to explain why you enjoy the film, what makes it special to you?

Please relate these ideas to your film of choice and analyse how these elements of mise-en-scene help to set the scene and tone of a film and its characters.
You have the next two lessons and homework time to complete this work ready for tuesday!
You may like to use the links on the left of this blog t0 help you with your descriptions. Your clip can be up to 2 mins long and your presentation should be a further 4-5 mins.
